9 ottobre 2023 – Hiba Kamal Abu Nada

Hiba è stata uccisa nella sua casa nel sud di Gaza da un raid israeliano il 20 ottobre 2023. Aveva 32 anni.

 

 

“Piombo Fuso” del 2009 e “Colonna di nuvola” nel 2012 sono due offensive militari israeliane condotte nella Striscia di Gaza. 

L’operazione Piombo fuso, Cast lead, è stata lanciata sulla popolazione confinata nella Striscia. Nei 22 giorni dell’offensiva, in base ai dati delle Nazioni Unite, sono stati uccisi 1.440 palestinesi, di cui 431 bambini e 114 donne. I feriti sono stati 5.303, di cui 1.606 bambini e 828 donne. La Coalizione Uniti contro la tortura, in un report, ha definito le azioni dell’esercito israeliano contro i civili palestinesi a Gaza “gravi manifestazioni di violazioni dei diritti umani che costituiscono trattamenti o punizioni crudeli, inumani, degradanti o torture”.

L’operazione Colonna di nuvola è stata condotta dal 14 novembre al 21 novembre 2012. L’Ufficio dell’alto commissariato per i diritti umani ha sollevato “una serie di preoccupazioni in merito al rispetto da parte delle Forze di difesa israeliane (IDF) delle regole minime sulla condotta delle ostilità, tra cui distinzione, proposizionalità e precauzioni dell’attacco”. Nei giorni dell’offensiva sono morti, secondo l’Ocha, 3.223 palestinesi, la maggior parte a causa di attacchi per via aerea. Tra questi, 523 bambini, 232 bambine e 374 donne.

The Israeli military offensive dubbed Operation Cast Lead lasted from December 27, 2008 until January 18, 2009. According to the UN, it resulted in the killing of 1,383 Palestinians, including 333 children and 114 women, and the injury of over 5,300. More than 3,400 Palestinian families had their homes completely destroyed. The firing of rockets and mortars by Palestinian armed groups towards Israel killed three Israeli civilians, injured some 180 and ten Israeli soldiers were also killed during the hostilities, including four in a “friendly fire” incident.

On November 18, 12 civilians, including five women, four children and one man from the Al Dalu family were killed. Two of their neighbours, an elderly woman and young man, were also killed.
